Queer Eye is an American reality show created by David Collins. The show is a reboot of the 2003 show of the same name. The show follows the Fab Five and how they help unfortunate people nominated by their friends by giving them a makeover.
Queer Eye Season 5 Release Date
Season one of Queer Eye was released on February 7, 2017. The first four seasons were filmed in Atlanta. Season 3 was renewed by Netflix in July 2018. And was released on March 15, 2019. The show was renewed for Season 4 and 5 in June 2019 and Season 4 was released on July 19, 2019. The show has been renewed for season six too.
Season 5 is filmed in Philadelphia. A few episodes bave been filmed in Kansas City and Atlanta too. Some reports suggest that the filming of season 5 has already been completed whereas some say it is still going on. If the filming is indeed completed, we can expect it to be released by September 2020. Otherwise, it might take a while considering the current pandemic.
There are reports of season six being filmed in Texas although there have been no official updates on the same.
Queer Eye Season 5 Cast
The ‘Fab Five’ will return to play their original roles. They are : Tan France, a fashion expert ; Karamo Brown, lifestyle and culture extraordinaire ; Antoni Porowski, wine and food expert ; Jonathan Van Ness, a grooming expert and Bobby Derk, a design extraordinaire.
The additional cast information has not yet been released by Netflix or the creators.
Queer Eye Season 5 Plot
The show revolves around the Fab Five, who are experts in their own fields and how they help unfortunate people who are nominated by their friends and family, overcome difficulties in life by helping them change their lifestyles, supporting them in ways possible and teaching them about the importance of self- love and self- care.
People can nominate their friends to be cast in the show by sending a mail to the casting network.
The show has received many awards including multiple Prime time Emmy Awards and Casting Society Of America awards.
Being one of the highest rated rated Netflix show, and one of it’s most successful ones, Queer Eye is a show once cannot miss.
