Mixed-ish is an American comedy series. It is the second spinoff of the famous series Black-ish which airs on ABC. The srirws was created by Peter Saji, Kenya Barris and Tracee Ellis Ross.
Mixed-ish Season 2 Release Date
The first ever episode of Mixed-ish was aired on 24 September, 2019 on ABC. In October, ABC issued a full season of the season consisting of 23 episodes.
The show gained an average of 3 million viewers. ABC president Karey Burke said : “Mixed-ish has established itself as one of the sharpest, funniest and most original new comedies of the season.” Although the series did not get a high viewer rate, it had high ratings.
There have been no official announcements on Season 2 of Mixed-ish. The parent company of ABC, Disney has stopped all productions now citing the current coronavirus pandemic. We cannot be sure if there is going to be another season and we will have to wait for official updates.
Mixed-ish Season 2 Cast
If there is going to be another season of Mixed-ish, it will feature Arica Himmel as Rainbow Sojourner “Bow” Johnson, a teen attempting to adjust to her biracial heritage, Tracee Ellis Ross playing an adult version of Bow and as the narrator. Tika Sumpter playing as Alicia Johnson, Bow’s mother, the family matriarch and a lawyer, Gary Cole plays as Harrison Johnson III, Paul’s father,Daveed Diggs playing as the grown-up Johan Johnson, Christina Anthony playing as Denise, Alicia’s sister, Mykal-Michelle Harris playing as Santamonica Johnson, Bow’s sister, Mark-Paul Gosselaar playing as Paul Johnson, Bow’s dad, Rashida Jones playing as the adult Santamonica Johnson, Ethan William Childress playing as Johan, Bow’s brother, and Daveed Diggs playing as the grown-up Johan Johnson.
There could be new characters added to the show, but we would have to wait for official updates on the same.
Mixed-ish Season 2 Plot
The show revolves around the life of Rainbow Johnson, with modern age parents. It shows how the family, after moving to a suburb, try to adapt and live amongst the community. It also shows Rainbow’s life as she goes through high school.
Season two will mostly pick off where season one ends, with Rainbow getting through every-day life trying to stay true to her identity and also adapt to the community.
There haven’t been updated on whether there will be another season of Mixed-ish, but if there is, fans are in for a laugh.
